Backcountry Map & Compass Navigation with MEC

Before the iPhone we relied on compasses, maps, and our intuition. MEC wants to remind us how to use these fancy tools. When it comes to topographical maps you will learn to decipher contour lines, scale, declination, projection, and basic colour/terrain indicators.
